Utrecht Science Park is a location that provides a vibrant, dynamic and exciting place to work, study and interact. It brings competencies from business, industry and academia together in order to design and create healthier, safer and more sustainable cities. It has combined its core competencies into strategic themes in the domains of Life Sciences & Health, Sustainability, and Applied Gaming to support this ambition.
In 2013 – 2014 DDK collaborated with SSH (Stichting Studenten Huisvesting) foundation and Utrecht Science Park to design a brochure about student housing real estate. The objective of the prospectus (a brochure to visualize potential buildings) was to draw in interest from potential investors for new developments or refurbishing buildings at the Utrecht Science Park and its surroundings. The brochure was bilingual due to the interest from foreign investors in Dutch student housing projects.
In collaboration with the Art Director I researched imagery and text material in order to create a visual concept. My scope of work included the design of an infographic, photo selection as well as briefing and art directing a photographer on what kind of additional photography was needed for the brochure.
The prospectus provided a clear and compact overview of real estate opportunities; future trends and developments; and expected investments and returns. The potential investors gained a clear picture of the business case. The client selected a digital (pdf) brochure that could also be printed in a single-print edition with 40 pages at A4 size.
